Verse 1: Well, I never believed I’d be singing this song but I must confess what happened to me. I was looking for the truth like a needle in a haystack and a goldfish in the deep blue sea. I tried money, sex, dope, work, yoga, music, school all those things people say would set you free. But it wasn’t till I stop running some kind of fool that I let the light empower me. Chorus: Then I say Jesus the rock in troubled water. Jesus, the bright and morning star. Jesus the bridge over troubled water. He’s not very far. He’s still the say. All you’ve got to do is call his name. He’s not very far. He’s still the say. All you’ve got to do is call his name. Bridge: So many people, have not heard about the love that He brings. We’ve got to show them, so they will know Him and the truth that will set them free. He’ll make their hearts to sing.

Verse 3: We are children of the day looking for a better way. We are chosen and we’ve overcome by the blood of the Father’s son. Listen closely and you too may see the way. Verse 4: We are children of the day longing for a brighter way. Some say that there is no life. Well, we’ve found it and it’s hid in Christ. Follow him and to heaven you will go. Verse 1: Sixteen years ago, my love politely said you cannot find the answer lying in your head. you cannot swim the ocean, standing on the beach. Thank you for the apple. I prefer the peach. Verse 2: Shiver in your snowflake. Smolder in your sweat You haven’t got the answer. You haven’t tried Jesus yet Love in mass production is what he wants to see The number one producer is what he wants to be. Chorus: All the people go passing by. They all love him. O by the way, He just dropped in for this to say. He’ll be back on visitor day. He’s just a few miles Across the bay. Verse 3: See his hand is open. Why do you come in? You got to now get serious. Confess to Him your sin. He promises forgiveness, peace and comfort too. All for just the asking. Jesus died for you. Chorus: All the people go passing by. They all love him. O by the way, He just dropped in for this to say. He’ll be back on visitor day. He’s just a few miles Across the bay.

about

This album is my awakening and responding to the call of the spirit of God in my life. I realized that God was calling me as a youth. Each song recounts a certain part of that call and how responding positively to the call brought clarity and purpose to my life. Each song is also an invitation to the listener to respond to that call in their lives, with the assurance that they too will find purpose, meaning, love and peace that only comes from answering the call to God from Jesus the Christ.

I would like to first thank and give credit and praise to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for making everything possible. He is the inspirator, facilitator and consimator.

I cannot fail to mention Kinard Cherry, my co-producer, and one of the most talented, humble, loving, giving, musician, and creative artist one could ever work with.

I want to thank my son Michael who created the first artwork and video to get the project started two years ago and my son Joshua would displayed awesome talent as a bass player on the song “Across the Bay.”

The project really came to life with the amazing original art of the
Nigerian artist Chika Aneke, whose original art catapulted the project to a new level.

Finally, for all the wonderful musicians, technicians, and artists who contributed to this body of work, your individual contribution makes this project special. This is your work as much as mine. I am humbled by your talent and I thank you.

"Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen." Jude 24 and 25
